Call for Presentations
2010 Lean and
Green Summit
The 2010
Lean and Green Summit agenda
committee has sent out a Call for
Presentations beginning immediately.
What is the Lean and Green Summit?
With so many “green conferences” in
the marketplace, why should you
consider attending the Lean and
Green Summit? The Lean and Green
National Summit will uniquely bring
together the passions and knowledge
of two committed groups:
-
Advocates of operational
excellence who see the
implications lean principles
have in sustainability, and
-
Environmental advocates wanting
to move industry toward
sustainability and want to learn
how lean operations can
contribute to that goal.
Who should consider presenting?
Lean and Green philosophies and
processes are important across a
wide spectrum of industries. The
Lean and Green Summit will highlight
companies operating in the all. If
your company has some experiences
with instituting lean and green
processes, and you are in senior
management, then you should consider
presenting at this Summit.
What Types of presentations are
being sought?
Presentations will take the form of
case studies. The case study
approach will allow attendees to not
only learn from your real-life
experiences, but will allow for
attendees to enter into a discussion
following the presentation, thus
expanding the information flow and
idea generation in the group.
The Lean
and Green Summit seeks presentation
proposals in the following areas:
(1)
Governance and Management
(2)
Operations and Facilities
(3)
Design and Process Innovation
(4)
Human Resources and Corporate
Culture
(5)
Marketing and Communications
(6)
Partnerships and Stakeholder
Engagement
Presentations should run about 30
minutes in length, allowing for
interactive discussions and Q&A
afterword. The venue can handle
multiple presentation formats, and
content and format can be discussed
with Summit coordinators.
How can I learn more about
presenting and about the Summit? If you are interested in making a
Presentation in one of the
management areas listed above,
download and complete this
Microsoft Word Document and
email it to
